SEVERAL thousand Animal rights protesters stopped traffic and tourists in the centre of Paris on Saturday. The Animal Rights activists were protesting about the cruelty of animals in abattoirs and slaughterhouses throughout the world. A number of countries including France and Australia are reviewing policies on live exporting of animals and conditions of slaughtering animals in abattoirs.
